The release of two major ONS datasets in the coming weeks will give us our best understanding yet of how Covid-19 affected the Buckinghamshire economy. The release of UK Business Count data (on 4 October) will tell us how many VAT/PAYE registered firms were operating in Buckinghamshire in March 2021 compared to March 2020 (the start of the pandemic) whilst the release of data from the Business Register and Employment Survey (on 19 October) will tell us how the number of jobs in Buckinghamshire businesses in September 2020 (mid pandemic) compared to September 2019 (pre-pandemic).
